106Three Radio Lafayette (Alt) and Z105.9 (Urban AC) both take pride in promoting our local music scene and culture. When we realized how the stay at home order was going to effect local musicians, we decided to help them out.

Our original goal was to book enough artists to fill a week-long series where the artist would broadcast live from our Facebook page.

The artist got the exposure and were allowed to put out their virtual tip jars (Venmo, PayPal, CashApp). Our listeners got live entertainment and the radio station got to keep our audiences engaged.

The response from these shows was so positive that we kept scheduling nightly shows throughout the seven-week quarantine.

106Thee Radio Lafayette's 'Homegrown Home Sessions' also hosted major acts Nathan Willett of Cold War Kids, Pete Yorn, Nahko, Moon Taxi, and AWOL Nation.

Z105.9's 'Facebook Live Sessions' has hosted local and national artists, a couple record release parties, and even a comedic play that went over so well we scheduled an encore.

Our Facebook Live shows have reached over 1 million people, had over 250,000 engagements, and have been shared over 5,000!
